A lot can happen in five years. From political changes such as Brexit and the US presidential election, sporting events such as the World Cup and the Olympics, technological advances with AI and social media tools, to losing some of our most treasured artists such as David Bowie and Alan Rickman (to name a few) – the past five years have been marked by significant changes for all of us.
And since launching 5 years ago, there has been a lot of changes for us here at JVP Group, including an overhaul of our brand identity, significant growth of the JVP team, and the development and expansion of our services, so let’s uncover and celebrate the journey so far for JVP Group…
With an extensive background in supporting businesses with recruitment for over 12 years, in January 2014 Cath Harrison launched JVP in direct response to a shift in the recruitment landscape.
With advances in technology changing the face of recruitment, Cath sought to disrupt the recruitment industry by providing a comprehensive online recruitment advertising and marketing service that combined support from an experienced recruiter, user-friendly technology, and wide yet targeted vacancy exposure, all with a completely transparent approach, thus JVP was established.
Since then we’ve successfully advertised thousands of vacancies for employers across the UK and supported many with lots of additional time saving solutions too. What a journey it’s been so far!
We never stand still at JVP Group, we strive to continuously improve and there have been many developments with our service offering over the past 5 years, although one thing that has remained the same is our passion to achieve exceptional results for clients, with an efficient and helpful service.
Since launch, our comprehensive recruitment marketing and support solutions have included; employer branded advert writing; multiple job board advertising; social media vacancy marketing; access to cloud-based applicant management software; and fully managed pre-employment skills and knowledge testing. Over the past 5 years we have expanded our offering to meet demand and add even more value to our clients’ in-house recruitment strategies, including:
To support the roll out of these new services and our growing client base, we we’re thrilled to have recently announced the promotion of Kay Thomas to Client Support Team Leader. In addition, Rian Kemp has joined the Management Team alongside Cath, Neil and Sion, as Client Services Manager, and will be continuing to head up the exciting expansion of our Jobs in North Wales brand…

Whilst JVP supports employers across the UK, as a North Wales based business, we know there are so many reasons to be proud of our region and opportunities on the doorstep, so as part of the JVP expansion plan we wanted to put North Wales in the spotlight! 2018 saw the launch of a fresh new website for our Jobs in North Wales brand – North Wales’ very own online hub, dedicated to living and working in the region.
October 2018 saw hosting of the first of our ‘Get Connected’ events, bringing a diverse range of employers and job seekers from North Wales together under the same roof to meet for an informal chat, to showcase exciting job vacancies across the region, and to celebrate our online hub dedicated to living and working in North Wales.
Our focus has always been on providing exceptionally high service standards, and a unique and effective approach to supporting employers with their in-house recruitment strategies - it’s what sets us apart from the competition. So, in order to best reflect our enhanced service offering and showcase how our unique approach to recruitment is far from the traditional and often expensive, black and white agency method, we’ve worked on developing a distinctive brand identity over the last 5 years.
In October 2018 our website and marketing material was completely redesigned and content updated to better communicate how we work with employers to attract the very best talent, significantly reduce the time spent on recruitment administration, and minimise recruitment spend.
Take a look at the images below to see just how much we’ve changed. What do you think of the development of our branding?

JVP Group - Winner of ‘Professional Service Business of the Year 2018’
It's great to have our achievements recognised, whether it’s being crowned ‘Professional Service Business of the Year’ at the North Wales Business Leaders Awards 2018, or being shortlisted for multiple awards by national, regional and recruitment industry focused awarding bodies over the years, we truly are honoured to have our core values and innovative recruitment solutions recognised.
As we look ahead to 2019 and beyond, we have exciting plans in place with the continuation of the ‘JVP Roadshow’ employer seminars, the growth of the JVP team, and the further development of our recruitment marketing and support solutions.
Since 2015, we’ve hosted 20 recruitment and HR seminars, across North Wales and North West England, where we’ve been informing and engaging HR professionals and business owners on topics such as talent attraction, candidate assessment and selection techniques, employer branding, social media and various employment law topics, to name just a few.
As we continue to support a wide range of employers such as the NSPCC, Arriva Traincare, Luxfer, North Wales Housing Association, Pinacl, Longleat, and Boots Hearingcare (to name a few!), and as we develop new relationships with even more employers across the UK – we’re excited about what the future holds, re-shaping talent attraction strategies.
With plans to grow our talented team and continue to develop our recruitment marketing and support services, we’ll be ensuring that we are able to continue to provide a high quality and innovative service to employers.
Finally, we’d like to say a big thank you to all our clients, suppliers and friends who’ve been a part of our journey so far, we wouldn’t be here without you and we look forward to the next five years and beyond!
