JVP Group - The Journey So Far…

Since launching back in January 2014 the business has experienced significant continued growth and undertaken developments that certainly visually make us unrecognisable from our roots. So let’s take a look at the journey so far exploring what drives organisations such as Boots Hearingcare, Clogau, and Business Wales to choose JVP as their recruitment advertising partner of choice. We’ll also uncover our enhanced expanding services with our fresh new approach for 2017.


Where it all began…


Timing was ideal for a refreshing solution for both employers and job seekers, moving away from traditional recruitment methods. Having supported businesses with recruitment for over 12 years, through delivery of recruitment agency services and hiring within her own teams, JVP’s Founder Cath Harrison launched the innovative advertising company in direct response to a shift in the recruitment landscape.

 

Advances in technology have changed the way employers can best promote job vacancies and directly engage with potential employees, and in a more efficient manner. Many HR professionals are more aware of the benefits and importance of using the power of employer brands to stand out from a crowd and attract the best talent, in what is back to a candidate driven market for many industries and disciplines.

 

With over 90% of jobseekers searching for employment online, Cath recognised that the market lacked comprehensive online recruitment advertising services that combined support from an experienced recruiter, user-friendly technology, wide yet targeted vacancy exposure and a completely transparent approach, thus JVP was created. Or as you may have originally known us as, JobVacancyPortal.co.uk. (Still our limited company name but we’ll cover this development later).

Dropping in for a coffee (biscuits too of course)…


It was quickly evident that our services were very welcome as a refreshing change by employers, so after a successful first 12 months, in January 2015 we moved from Prestatyn to more accessible and prestigious offices in Bodelwyddan, near to the A55, which also enabled the expansion of our team. We’re fortunate to benefit from superb facilities including a board room ideal for clients who want to pop in for a coffee and a training room which has already been host to many JVP seminars and events.

 

First impressions matter…


We’ve always been immensely proud of the feedback we receive on the quality service standards and unique approach we take to supporting employers with their in-house recruitment, it’s what sets us apart from the competition, both direct and indirect. So in 2015, a distinctive brand identity was created to reflect how our unique approach to recruitment is far from the traditional, expensive black and white agency method. A key part of the new look was our shortened name from JobVacancyPortal.co.uk to JVP, which many clients were already referring to us as anyhow.

 



Creating focus…

 

As part of the launch of our new brand identity, we created two separate websites; www.jvpgroup.co.uk for employers, and www.jvpjobs.co.uk for those seeking a career move.

 


 

The new brand and websites were officially unveiled by Dr James Davies MP at a special event at our head offices in Bodelwyddan (North Wales), where we were joined by clients, local employers and friends of JVP. It was a delightful afternoon, and it was lovely to have been able to share our great news and developments over a cupcake or two.

 

Top tips on tour…

 

September 2015, saw the start of the ‘JVP Roadshow’ – a series of informative and interactive recruitment and HR seminars. Since then we’ve hosted 13 seminars across North Wales and North West England, offering HR professionals and business owners top tips on a variety of topics such as attracting talent, assessment and selection techniques, employer branding, and employment law to name just a few (and all for free – we are generous).

 


 

We’ve loved every minute of hosting the JVP Roadshow so far, and the feedback received has been fantastic. Making space…

 

With demand for our services ever increasing, we’re delighted to be moving into more spacious offices here at the Bodelwyddan Business Centre imminently. This will make room for an additional recruitment marketing superstar to join the team and become part of this exciting adventure as we continue to grow.
