We’re really proud of the fantastic team we have working here at JVP Group – so proud that we’ve decided we’d like to tell you a bit more about them! So we’re kicking off by introducing you to one of our most recent additions - our Talent Attraction Partner, Charlie Wetton.

How long have you been working at JVP Group?

I’ve worked at JVP for almost seven months now – it has gone so fast! I graduated from Liverpool University in 2019 and then, before I joined JVP, I worked in the dog park in Abergele. I absolutely LOVE dogs, so it was a great excuse to spend all my time with them!

Tell us a bit more about your role as Talent Attraction Partner

My role varies so much. Every day is completely different. I write job advert content, advise and support clients on the phone, conduct telephone interviews, take in new business enquiries… literally no day is the same!

What would you say you enjoy most about your job?

I love that it is really challenging, and that I get to speak to a wide variety of people every day. I’m very results driven, and I enjoy the fact that my role is very “mouldable” to fit my strengths – I really value that kind of role flexibility.

And what’s the biggest work challenge you’re dealing with at the moment?

Oh, that’s a tough one! I guess every day brings new and different challenges, but for me it’s about facing those challenges with positivity and optimism, and knowing I have a team around me that’s always on hand to give advice and support if I ask for it.

What work achievement are you most proud of?

There are lots of things I’m proud of, but I feel like I’m learning something new and improving every day. There are so many examples of where I’ve felt proud to be making a difference to a client (I know that sounds a bit cringey – but it’s true!). I’ve felt proud that I’ve made their whole recruitment experience so much easier, including for clients who’ve never really been involved with recruitment processes before.

As I mentioned earlier on, I am very results-driven. So it’s incredibly satisfying to be able to help clients get the results and outcomes they want, especially when it’s a role they’ve been struggling to fill via other methods for a while!

What’s your favourite biscuit?

It’s got to be a Bourbon Biscuit. It’s a classic: chocolate, plus it doesn’t break apart when you dunk. An all-rounder.

What kind of music do you enjoy?

My musical tastes vary depending on my mood! I do love a good R&B classic on the weekend though.

Do you have a pet?

Yes – and he loves to help me work! Given what I was saying about dogs previously, it will not surprise you to learn that I have one! Sorry if you’re on a call with me on the occasional times when I’m working from home, and you hear barking in the background. The dog likes to make his presence felt..!
